In 1959, some soldiers from the regional army of the British state of Wales designed a weekend training unit set up on the Cambrian Hills in Wales. Which consisted of long distance marching. In August 1960, Major General Lewis Pugh of the British Army named the exercise the Cambrian Patrol. And over time, that is likely to change. Until 2005, only the regional army took part in the exercise.

In 2006, armies from several other countries, including Pakistan, India and France, took part in the exercise. And now the number of countries participating in the exercise has reached 140.

That includes Israel and the United States. This exercise lasts for 9 to 10 days. There are 8 different stages for each team in these exercises.
